MAGIC CITY – On Wednesday, April 20, 2022, Sayfie Review will host the inaugural Miami Tech Summit during Miami Tech Week.
As the Magic City emerges as the new tech mecca for the Americas, the Miami Tech Summit will convene tech leaders at the Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM) for an exclusive, invitation-only forum to engage, share, learn and collaborate.
Miami Tech Week will kick off with the eMerge Americas mega-conference on April 18th and 19th, with thousands of tech enthusiasts from around the hemisphere convening in Miami. The Summit will immediately follow eMerge on Wednesday, April 20th.
“The stars have aligned to create this once-a-century opportunity for Miami. The 2020’s will be to Miami what the 1990’s were to Silicon Valley,” said Justin Sayfie, Founder of Sayfie Review. “Working with our partners and sponsors, the Miami Tech Summit will convene a unique gathering of public and private sector leaders to provide the thought leadership necessary for the successful growth of the tech industry in our hemisphere.”
From 2013 to 2016, Sayfie Review successfully hosted the invitation-only Florida Leaders Summits, which brought together private and public leaders from across the state of Florida to address the top issues facing the state.
“As Miami becomes the capital of capital and fulfills its responsibility as ‘the most important city in America,’ our community will continue to welcome big thinkers, dreamers, risk-takers, founders and builders to our Magic City,” said Miami Mayor Francis X. Suarez. “The Miami Tech Summit is another important segment of the mosaic that we are all building together to create increased opportunities and a better life for our city, our state and our hemisphere.”
The Miami Tech Summit has partnered with the Inter-American Development Bank to play a significant role in the Summit program. The Bank will open the Summit with a presentation and panel discussion that will share key tech insights from its work in the hemisphere.
“The tech sector is booming in Latin America and the Caribbean. We have an unprecedented opportunity to accelerate its growth by creating a stronger digital ecosystem and connecting it in new ways,” said Mauricio Claver-Carone, President of the Inter-American Development Bank. “The Inter-American Development Bank is thrilled to participate in this year’s Miami Tech Summit and excited to be working on efforts to streamline higher engagement in this area.”
Former State Legislator Jose Felix Diaz is the Co-Founder of the Miami Tech Summit. Diaz served in the Florida Legislature from 2010 to 2017, including service as Chair of the House Regulatory Affairs Committee.
“Miami is the hottest city on Earth right now and that momentum is not going to dissipate,” said Diaz. “The Summit will become a must-attend event every year during Miami Tech Week, and provide an engaging forum for public and private leaders to collaborate on the most important topics in the tech industry.”
Google is a major sponsor for the Miami Tech Summit, and is sponsoring the after-party at the PAMM at the conclusion of the Summit program on Wednesday, April 20. By special arrangement with the Pérez Museum, Summit attendees will be offered a guided viewing of “Marisol and Warhol Take New York,” an exhibit chronicling the artists’ rise to success in 1960’s New York.
Sayfie Review has partnered with Loud and Live to produce the event. Headquartered in Miami, Loud and Live is a leader in sports, entertainment and marketing, with presence in North America, South America and Europe.
